Cold Weather Meals Compared to Warm Weather Meals

For those who do cold weather hiking (e.g. below freezing), are your backpacking meals more elaborate for winter (cold weather) trips?

For example, do you bring foods in cold weather that would otherwise spoil faster (and perhaps due to this fact are left home) in warmer weather? If so, please explain.

Without straying from the general point here, please feel free to describe the differences between your cold and warm weather food choices.
