Backpacking with Others / Group (Non-Solo)

There's plenty of input from others here on PBF about solo backpacking (e.g. solo hiking threads, trip reports,...).

This thread is for those who prefer to hike with others (rather than solo) to discuss why they prefer to do so. There already exists other threads for solo backpackers to share their preference/experiences.
