Pounding in tent stakes
Here's a general question that gives me problems like no other when I'm in the field: how do you pound in your tent stakes?
Generally I manage, but poorly. Most of the places I go camping have very hard, rocky, dry soil that requires serious work to get the stake into (and if the stakes aren't all the way in the LOVE to pull out of). I've tried pounding it with my trowel, stepping on it with my boot, moving them over an inch to see if I can find a rock-free spot, twisting the s NOTE: The remainder of this post can be read by PBF members.
