Gossamer Gear 1 Pound Shelter (The One 2008)
Gossamer Gear has a new tarp tent type shelter coming soon. It's a solo shelter with floor and weighs less than a pound. Has anyone seen this or have any details about this shelter.

Yes, Glen and I have been emailing back and forth about it... I just looked at the latest revision the other day. It's coming along very nicely. I'm sure that it will be a big hit.

By the way, the current name for the tent is "The One."

UPDATE:

Yes, at present, it's 7 foot long and is 26 inches wide at both ends (34" in the middle).

It has a nice sized vestibule...

The following is a photo of the Gossamer Gear The One shelter that is tentatively expected to be released during Q1 of 2008.




This is a sneak peak. Give GG some time to work on this project -- there will be an announcement when the shelter is available to the public.

Wow! Looks like another winner from Gossamer Gear. Based on the photo, it appears this shelter would shed light snow.

Reality,
There are no visible apex vents, is this the case ?
Also does the beak have a zip or is it a push up like with the Exped Vela ?

One pound!

Looks like it has 6 stake out points and requires 2 poles (or adjustable trekking poles) They better make a bundle of those babies.
