Hammock Under-Cover Space Blanket

I hope someone can just give me a short, sweet answer and thereby shorten my learning curve. I'm learning to use my HH Backpacker HyperLite. I know that sounds retarded, but pity the poor individual that thinks that all he has to do is learn to tie the Hennessey Knot in order to enjoy a good night's sleep in his new hammock. My first night- temp about 58 degrees, no pad inside or out, no 'space blanket', only bag was a light fleece throw, head end a little (actually, a lot) too high.
