Quote:
This forum is for PBF members to post ACTUAL trip reports for backpacking trips that they've already completed (or journal entries for trips in progress). If you want to ask a question or raise an issue regarding a particular trip or area, please post it in The Trailhead forum. Please do not post links to offsite reports. UPDATE: Please read all of the posts in this thread (below). Thank you. Reality |

Comments Regarding Photos
Photos are a wonderful addition to a trip report. Photos may be posted to support the actual content of your trip report. Please be sure to provide commentary with any photos that you share. And please take care to post only those photos that get the point across. If your report looks more like a photo album, you may have posted too many. A properly- embedded link to additional photos that are directly related to your report may be posted if they are stored (uploaded) in a dedicated online photo gallery (e.g. Google, Webshots, Photobucket...) or the PB Gallery, rather than a forum, blog, or personal/private website. Thank you for sharing your trip photos with fellow PBF members. |

Tip: Use the full name for trails that are generally referred to by 3-letter acronyms. For example, use "John Muir Trail" rather than JMT and "Pacific Crest Trail" rather than PCT for the subject (title) of your trip report (thread/post). This will help PBF members to find your post when conducting a search - since many 3-letter searches are ignored. This tip should be used throughout PBF.
