I was very pleased to see that Practical Backpacking podcasts are once again available on iTunes. It seemed to have disappeared for a few months.

While it was great that your latest podcast (#51 - Hiking Goals) was available to listen to on this forum (along with all of your other podcasts), I realized that for me, it is very difficult to find the time to listen to podcasts (or music) on my computer.

Typically, I load podcasts, audio books and music onto my iPod and listen to them in the car. Having a long commute to and from work, I have time in the car to listen to a substantial amount of things.

I tried to listen to episode #51 on my computer at home for a quite a while. I would only get through 10 or 15 minutes before being interrupted or realizing that I spaced out on the last 5 minutes of interview.

It wasn't until PBP suddenly reappeared on iTunes that I was able to download it into my iTunes library and listen to it in the car.

Really appreciate the effort you make to create these great podcasts and to make them available for download.

Thanks a million!

Yes. The Practical Backpacking™ Podcast (PBP) is once again available in the iTunes Store (free of charge).

Due to technical/server issues, PBP disappeared from the iTunes Store a few times over the years. I believe it's as fixed as it can be now. So, there shouldn't be another inadvertent disappearance.

Because of the nature of the technical issues, all of the comments that people have left for the podcast/episodes in iTunes have vanished forever.

By the way, I also prefer to listen to audio on a portable media player. I believe audio is still alive and well even with the growing popularity of video. With audio, one can listen while doing other things and not have to watch a screen. Besides, who wants to watch talking heads(?)

I'm touched by the wonderful email messages and comments that I receive and find them motivating to produce more PB episodes.

Thank you.
