Rather than putting weight 1st- I would consider the room, life span, waterproofing and extended season comfort a heavier Si/Nylon tent would give your for a "1/2 gallon water's worth" of extra carry weight over the <4 lb. two man tent. But any Silicon coating is better than Polyurethane coating
due to water retention weight, sagging and age stench.
