Thru hike or not?

Leaving Springer Mountain next March. Plan is to hop off in Damascus, go to my sons college graduation, and return to Damascus 3 days later. Will I still be considered a thru-hiker when I reach Katahdin? NOTE: The remainder of this post can be read by logging in. For free PBF membership click here
