Coleman Blended Fuel
Anyone tried the coleman blended fuel? How does it compare to MSR, Snow Peak, etc. fuels?
Thanks, Randy |

I used Coleman's blended fuel with a Jetboil that I borrowed from someone once. Other than the fact that it doesn't fit inside the Jetboil, it worked great. But Jetboil's Jet Power is also a propane/butane mix gas, so it makes sense why they would work well together.

it's not bad. the can's kind of heavy duty compared to some(it's coleman, after all... built to survive ragnarok), but the fuel blend is the same as the others, within a few percentage points(i think they all fall close to 70/30 mix).
but i only used the stuff on a short summer trip, so i dunno about the cold weather performance. it's the bee's knees when run through the teeny coleman stovehead for it, though, so i think that's what it's designed for, flow rate and all. |
