ContainsImages Things you Find in the Wilderness

Have you ever came upon things on your hikes in the wilderness, other than trash, that you've found to be interesting (e.g. artifacts, antlers, bones, carvings, drawings, primitive tools/objects,...)?

Please tell us about them here and feel free to upload photos to the PB Gallery and/or display as Attachments in this thread.

Thanks for your participation.

Oh boy, I have real regrets about a pair of Nubian Ibex horns I stumbled on but had to pass up.

They were massive and so evocative of the great male who had borne them. They were simply magnificent! But each horn must have weighed at least 6 or 7 pounds.

Also, it was raining and dusk was approaching. I was tired, carrying a big pack, and facing a steep hour-and-a-half descent to my car.

You can guess the rest. Life has it's demands and I never got back to fetch those horns.

I still day-dream about them and badly need them for some still-life photographs I have in my head!
