Emergency / Survival / Space Blankets

For those who use them, please share how you've used your emergency blankets or at least the reasons you carry one.

I'll start with just a few possible uses:
  • Emergency on-body heat-retention wrap
  • Fire reflector for shelter heat
  • Signal/attention device
  • Tarp
  • Sun reflector (for cooling desert shelter)
  • Groundsheet (not for reflective warmth)
Feel free to duplicate and elaborate.
