Black Diamond Megalight webbing X removal

Hello,

I setup my new Megalight last night using the webbing X, that has a grommit for a hiking pole end. Looking at it, the webbing is attached on each end to the tarp with one line of stiching. This put all of the strain on four small seams and under tention starts to pull the silnylon apart slightly. I am going to reinforce this with seam sealer. However, I was thinking about cutting out the webbing X completely. I figure I can always use rubber ends on my trekking poles. NOTE: The remainder of this post can be read by logging in. Mega Light must be different to the standard weight unit then, without seeing a picture of the tent NOTE: The remainder of this post can be read by logging in. For free PBF membership click here
